KITE DOWNWINDERS
& BOAT TripS
RIDE THERE. OR RIDE ALONG.
Leave the beach behind.
From Buen Hombre, the coast becomes your playground.
Explore islands, reefs and quiet beaches by boat —
or put your kite up and let the wind carry you along the coast.
Local knowledge. Small groups. Big days out.
ONE COAST. MANY WAYS TO EXPLORE IT.
Buen Hombre sits in a remarkable part of the Dominican Republic's northwest coast.
You can spend the day on a white-sand island, snorkel over a reef, explore remote coastline, discover tiny offshore islands — or simply point your kite downwind and ride.
Choose your adventure.

PICK YOUR DAY ON THE WATER.
OUR CAPTAIN KITES.
That sounds like a small thing until you've done a downwinder behind someone who doesn't — wondering whether the boat will be there when the wind drops, or whether anyone noticed you go down. Ours has been riding this coast since 2013. He knows what you need before you signal for it.
Ride there. Or ride along.
Every trip below is a place, not a product. Most people kite there. Everyone else takes the same boat to the same place. Same destination, same price — your choice how you arrive.
Per person unless noted. All trips run subject to wind, sea conditions and the captain's call.
The boat goes either way — carrying you there, or following behind while you ride. What you're paying for is the day on that coast and the team that makes it work, not the mode of transport.
What a downwinder is
Launch in Buen Hombre, wind at your back, ride the coast to the destination. No upwind slog. No turning around. No riding the same water twice.
Who it's for
Intermediate and advanced riders, comfortable riding independently and self-launching in open coastal water. Not there yet? Take the boat and ask us about it on the way.
Not a kiter
The same trips run as straightforward boat days — swimming, snorkelling, beach time. Families and non-kiting partners come on exactly the same boats.
What's on the water with you
A professional kite assistant, riding with the group the whole route
A captain who kites himself — so the boat is where you need it
Boat, fuel and the support run for the full distance
Riin to confirm the rest: water, snorkel gear, lunch, park fees — and what isn't included

RIDE THE COAST.
LET THE WIND TAKE YOU SOMEWHERE.
A downwinder turns the coastline into your route.
Launch from Buen Hombre, put the wind at your back and ride along the coast while the support boat follows nearby.
No need to turn around.
No need to ride the same water twice.
Just wind, coastline, open water and the feeling of going somewhere.

YOUR BOAT. YOUR DAY.
MAKE THE COAST YOUR OWN.
Want something more personal?
Book a private boat and build the day around your group.
Choose where you go, where you stop and how long you stay — always subject to conditions and the captain's advice.

WHY GO WITH US?
LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
We live and operate here. We know the coastline, conditions and places worth seeing.
SMALLER GROUPS
More flexibility. Less waiting. More time actually enjoying the water.
ONE TEAM
Your boat adventure connects easily with your stay, kitesurfing and the rest of your Buen Hombre trip.
THE RIGHT DAY
We choose routes around weather, wind and sea conditions rather than forcing a fixed itinerary.

START SOMEWHERE REAL.
These trips don't begin at a large tourist marina.
They begin in Buen Hombre — a real fishing village on the northwest coast of the Dominican Republic.
That changes the experience.
You leave from a quiet, local destination and head into a coastline that still feels wild and open.
THE WIND GETS YOU HERE.
THE COAST TAKES YOU FURTHER.
BEFORE YOU GO.
Everything you need to know before joining us on the water.
