Absolutely not! The majority of our 3,000+ students were complete beginners when they arrived. Our progressive teaching system is specifically designed to take you from zero experience to independent riding safely and confidently. What you need: Basic swimming ability (you'll wear a life vest during lessons regardless) Reasonable fitness level (we adapt to all abilities) Willingness to learn and take direction Sense of humor (you will get wet and it's all part of the fun!) Age requirements: Minimum: 12 years old for group lessons 5+ years old possible with private lessons and parent approval Maximum: There is no upper age limit! We've successfully taught students in their 60s and 70s Physical fitness: Kitesurfing is surprisingly accessible. You don't need to be an athlete - the kite does most of the work. If you can walk, swim, and follow instructions, you can learn to kitesurf.
