11-Hour Beginner Kitesurf Course — Pay 10, Get 1 Free
This 11-hour beginner kitesurf course gets you up on the board. You arrive never having flown a kite; you leave riding, going downwind and — most likely — starting to hold your ground upwind.
You learn in knee- to waist-deep, flat water where you can stand up any time you fall (you will — that's the fun part). No waves, no deep water, no swimming after your board for ten minutes. Just steady trade winds and a lot of time actually flying the kite.
Most of our students finish the 11 hours in 3 days, almost everyone within 4.
What's included
• 11 hours of coaching — you pay for 10, the 11th is free ($85/hour value)
• Private, IKO-certified instructor — the kite is yours the whole time, not shared with a group
• All the gear — kite, board and harness from Core, Duotone, Crazyfly, Ventum and ION
• Kite storage, compressor and beach help at the kite spot
What you'll learn
Stage | What happens |
1. Safety & setup | Wind window, rigging, safety systems and how to release the kite. The part everybody wants to skip — and the part that keeps you safe forever. |
2. Kite control | First with a small trainer kite on the beach, then a full-size kite in the water. Power up, power down, steer without thinking. |
3. Body-dragging | The kite pulls you through the water without a board. Feels silly for ten minutes, then it clicks. |
4. Water starts | Board on your feet, kite up, go. This is where flat, shallow water saves you hours. |
5. First rides | Short rides, then longer ones, going downwind and starting to work upwind. |
