Wellness — Massage, Yoga & Personal Training
Kitesurfing asks more of your body than most sports admit. We built a wellness programme around that, not as an afterthought.
Massage therapy, yoga, and personal training are available at both Buen Hombre and Cabarete by pre-booking, with visiting specialists on-location throughout the year depending on the season.

WHY THIS ISN'T AN AFTERTHOUGHT
Kitesurfing works your whole body at once — core, shoulders, grip, balance — often asymmetrically, since most riders favor one side. Days on the water add up, and the body that rides well on day one isn't always the body you show up with on day five.
That's the thinking behind building wellness into what we offer, rather than leaving it to whatever's nearby: massage to help muscles recover between sessions, yoga to work the core, balance, and flexibility that kiting itself doesn't train evenly, and personal training for riders who want structured conditioning around their kiting, not instead of it.

Recovery Between Sessions.
Massage therapy is available with prior reservation from experienced therapists at both locations — relaxation-focused or more targeted sports massage for muscles worked hard on the water.

Before the Wind Arrives.
In Buen Hombre, mornings often start with yoga on the beach, before the day's wind picks up. Visiting specialists rotate throughout the year, teaching vinyasa, yin, restorative, and breathwork — so what's on offer can vary depending on when you visit.
In Cabarete, a dedicated yoga lounge — naturally ventilated, with its own sound system — hosts morning and evening sessions and can accommodate larger groups for retreats.

Conditioning Built Around Kiting, Not Instead of It.
Personal training is available for kite-specific conditioning and strength work — built around the muscles and movements kiteboarding actually uses, plus general fitness sessions for anyone who wants structured training during their stay.
Stretching sessions target the tightness that builds up from repetitive kiting movements — shoulders, hips, and the side you unconsciously favor — and are worth booking on rest days or after a long stretch of consecutive sessions.
WELLNESS FOR GROUPS & RETREATS
Cabarete's yoga lounge is built for more than drop-in sessions — it's hosted yoga retreats of up to 22 people, and works equally well for fitness training, workshops, or a quiet coworking space between sessions.
-
Bring your own instructor — the space is yours to use as a retreat leader
-
Or ask us to refer a local instructor for your dates
-
Pairs naturally with our Flexible Stay accommodation rates for longer group bookings

WHY THIS ACTUALLY HELPS YOUR RIDING
None of this is decoration. A few things worth knowing:

Core work translates directly — the core strength built through yoga is the same strength that improves jumps, unhooked tricks, and overall board control.

Recovery speeds up between sessions — massage supports circulation and eases the muscle soreness that builds up after repeated days on the water, so you're not starting each session already tired.

Balance and flexibility reduce injuries — kiteboarding tends to overdevelop one side of the body; yoga and targeted stretching help correct that imbalance before it becomes a strain or injury.
HOW BOOKING WORKS
01
Tell us what you're after and your dates
02
We confirm what's available — some specialists are seasonal, so timing matters
03
We book your session or class at Buen Hombre or Cabarete
04
Show up and recover
Pre-booking is genuinely worth doing here — this isn't a walk-in spa, and visiting specialists aren't on-site year-round.
