Second Level Kitesurf Course — 10 Hours
You finished the beginner course (here or somewhere else). You can get up on the board and ride — mostly downwind, sometimes with a long walk back. The Second Level kitesurf course closes the gap.
After about 11 hours, most people are riding. Becoming a truly independent kiter takes around 20–25 hours in total. The Second Level course is those missing hours, done properly: coaching where you need it and supervised riding where you just need time on the water with a professional keeping an eye on you, so small mistakes don't turn into big ones.
The flat, shallow Buen Hombre lagoon and its steady trade winds make it the easiest place to repeat the same move again and again until it sticks.
What's included
• 10 hours of private coaching and supervised riding with an IKO-certified instructor
• All the gear — kite, board and harness from Core, Duotone, Crazyfly, Ventum and ION
• A plan built around you — we start with a short check of your level and focus the hours on what you actually need
• Kite storage, compressor and beach help at the kite spot
What you'll learn
Skill | What it means for you |
Riding upwind | Finish where you started. No more walks of shame back up the beach. |
Transitions | Turning both ways without stopping — the moment kiting starts to feel smooth. |
Self-rescue | What to do if something goes wrong in deeper water: pack down the kite and get yourself back safely. |
Board & kite control | Edging, speed control, stopping on purpose, relaunching the kite from the water. |
Reading conditions | Choosing the right kite size, spotting gusts and lulls, knowing when to stay on the beach. |
Supervised riding | Time on your own with rental gear and a professional watching over you — this is where it all comes together. |
