Grand Grossier — also written Banco Gran Grossier — is a remote sandbar off the Monte Cristi coast, about 40 to 60 minutes by boat from Buen Hombre. There's no road, no buildings, no beach club — just shallow, lagoon-clear water sitting in the middle of open ocean, shaped by reef, mangrove, and sandbank. It's built for intermediate and advanced kiters who want open water and room to ride without a crowd; total beginners get a better first experience at Buen Hombre's own flat-water lagoon. Non-kiters are still very welcome on the boat for swimming, snorkeling, and having a sandbar in the middle of the ocean mostly to themselves.
